Four yards with the Blooming Gardens of Miasto Tkaczy (the City of Weavers)

It is already known which yards in the Weavers City in Zgierz will have their Flowering Gardens. These are the properties at ul. Narutowicz - numbers 4, 7, 11 and 13. It was decided, after a series of consultations, by the inhabitants of the Cultural Park themselves, who held consultations on this matter together with ethnologists and officials.

The decision was made when the previously planned series of the so-called "Living Labs" ended, i.e. consultation meetings with residents, after which specific locations were indicated. It is already known that these courtyards will soon gain a new look: they will be equipped with beautifying elements, i.e. revitalized.

What changes do the residents expect? This was also subject to consultation. The most frequently mentioned elements include: new pergolas for garbage cans, hardening the entrances to courtyards (the previous ones have a sandy base) or various recreational elements.

In task 4.2 of the Local Development Plan (Creation of Blooming Gardens in the City of Weavers) approx. 760 thousand PLN to make changes. Talks with the contractor are to be completed by the end of September in order to agree a list of specific renovations. As expected, the works are to start next spring.

The Local Development Plan (PRL) was developed for participation in the Local Development program, co-financed from the funds obtained by the Municipality of the City of Zgierz from the Norwegian Funds in the competition organized by the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
